FROM VISION TO INSTITUTION
Our Story
Let There Be Light Christian Residential Academy began as an act of obedience, a conviction that God was calling His people to restore vulnerable children through love, education, discipleship, and compassionate care.
What started as a vision has become an institution: incorporated, governed, and moving toward its founding launch in January 2027.

FOUNDING LEADERSHIP
Latoya Shea
FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Having responded to the Lord's call to establish Christ-centered institutions for children, families, and communities, Latoya provides the spiritual, organizational, and strategic leadership of the Commission.
A United States Army veteran, healthcare professional, public health practitioner, author, and humanitarian, she brings more than a decade of service to vulnerable populations through love, healthcare, education, disaster response, leadership development, and community outreach, including humanitarian work in the USA, South Africa, Jamaica and Nepal.
Her academic background includes degrees in Nursing, Psychology, graduate studies in Nurse Anesthesia at Columbia University, Public Health, and ongoing MBA studies. Throughout, one belief has held: that God's love and faithfulness is boundless and every child deserves to experience this love, to be restored, and equipped to fulfill their God-given purpose.

Chair, U.S. HQ
Ronald Glasgow
Ronald Glasgow serves as Chair of the Board and is a U.S. Army Veteran (Retired) with more than 25 years of experience in leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management. He holds a Master of Science in Management from Excelsior University and is committed to leading with integrity, accountability, and excellence. As a senior enlisted leader, he developed a strong foundation in servant leadership, operational excellence, team development, and mission-focused decision-making.
Ronald also serves as the Connections Team Ministry Leader at The Dwelling Place Church in Kissimmee, Florida. Passionate about serving others, he founded and coordinates the Highway 192 Community Care Project, an outreach initiative dedicated to supporting underprivileged families throughout Osceola County by connecting them with food, clothing, school supplies, and other essential resources.
Child Welfare Advisor, U.S. HQ
Georgia Taylor
Georgia Taylor serves on the Board of Directors of the Let There Be Light Kingdom Commission as the Child Welfare Advisor, where she provides guidance on child protection, safeguarding, and child welfare practices to help ensure the Foundation's programs and initiatives prioritize the safety, well-being, and best interests of children.
Georgia brings a diverse background in finance, nonprofit administration, governance, and organizational compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, a Master of Public Administration, and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Molloy University. With knowledge of child protection principles and nonprofit compliance, she supports the development of policies and practices that promote accountability, integrity, and effective stewardship.
Development Chair, U.S. HQ
RYAN RINDOM
Ryan M. Rindom serves as Development Chair, bringing more than two decades of experience in sales, business development, entrepreneurship, and relationship management to the organization's mission of expanding educational opportunities for K–12 students in Jamaica. His commitment to Christian service has been shaped in part through three years of involvement with Royal Family KIDS Camp, a ministry of For The Children serving children impacted by foster care and difficult family circumstances.
Professionally, Ryan is a co-founder of AfterToday Chefs and has built his career around developing relationships, communicating vision, creating partnerships, and driving sustainable growth. He brings that experience to his role as Development Chair, with a focus on donor development, strategic partnerships, community engagement, and long-term organizational sustainability.

Jesus Christ guides every decision.
We hold to the inspired, infallible authority of Scripture, the Godhead, the deity and finished work of Jesus Christ, salvation by grace through faith in Him alone, and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.
Every child entrusted to this Academy is treated as valuable, chosen, and deeply loved by God, never defined by trauma, abandonment, or brokenness. All governance, curriculum, partnerships, and operations remain submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ at all times.

Not yet. We are in active formation, targeting a January 2027 founding launch.
No. LTBL is non-denominational and grounded in the historic, biblical Christian faith set out in our Statement of Faith.
Yes. LTBL welcomes both boys and girls. Boys’ and girls’ residences will be located on separate sides of the campus.
Day and boarding tuition will be published closer to launch. Residential-restoration places for vulnerable and street-connected children are always completely free.

No. LTBL is privately funded through donors, partners and fundraising. It operates in active, cooperative engagement with the Ministry of Education and Youth and CPFSA.
Yes. Our traditional boarding pathway is designed for Jamaican, Caribbean, diaspora and international families.
